GOLDSBORO, NC, June 3, 2013 — The Eastern NC Region of the American Red Cross is pleased to welcome Tammy Forrester as the new CEO for the Wayne/Greene and Lenoir County Chapters effective May 28, 2013. She has been working as the interim Chapter CEO since December 17, 2012 and brings 6 years of Red Cross experience to her new post.
Forrester started her American Red Cross career as a blood drive coordinator for Wayne County and later became the health and safety director responsible for all of the first aid and CPR training courses. Forrester was also in roles that supported fundraising and volunteer management before she accepted the CEO position. Prior to joining the Red Cross, she worked as a sales rep for a local company selling first aid and safety supplies.

Forrester has been a resident of Goldsboro for 23 years and has been actively involved in the community both through the Red Cross and outreach efforts at her church. She and her husband Andy Forrester, a native of Goldsboro, are the proud parents of 3 boys who received their education through the Wayne County School System.
